Firefighters Endorse Laura Fjeld for Congress

The Professional Firefighters of Greensboro-IAFF, Local 947, announced that they are very pleased to endorse Laura Fjeld for Congress. The Professional Firefighters of Greensboro is the second largest Firefighters union in North Carolina, and their endorsement is highly sought after. In previous elections they endorsed Republican Congressman Howard Coble.

Dave Coker, President of Local 947, said, "Laura is the candidate who is willing to listen to the issues that are important to firefighters. Local firefighters know that she shares our values and concerns regarding public safety. Laura will be a strong supporter and advocate for us, and she is the best candidate to represent us in Congress."

Laura Fjeld accepted the endorsement at a press conference today, stating, "I am honored to be endorsed by local firefighters who bravely put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe. We have seen time and time again when disaster strikes first responders always rush towards danger to protect us. I will always fight for our firefighters who do so much for all of us."
